Home repair · Ashby Creek and the county

You've stepped around it for months. We'll fix it this week.

The soft spot by the tub. The breaker that trips every time the dryer runs. The faucet you’ve learned to jiggle. Call before noon and you’ll have a price by supper. You won’t pay a cent you didn’t agree to.

What we fix

Name the problem. We’ve seen it before.

Most calls start with a sound. A drip at 2 a.m. A hum behind the wall. A click where there should be light. Tell us what you hear, and we’ll tell you what it is.

Repairs

It drips, sparks, sticks or sags. Tell us the sound it makes. We’ll tell you the price before we open the toolbox.

Plumbing

Water goes where you don’t want it, or won’t go where you do. We find the leak you can hear but can’t see, and we fix it without tearing out the whole wall.

Electrical

Lights that dim when the air kicks on aren’t a quirk. They’re a warning. We trace it to the source and label your panel so the next person knows too.

Carpentry and drywall

Doors that won’t latch. Holes the last tenant left. Trim that let go years ago. We make the room look like nobody was ever in a hurry.

A tradesman at his desk with a laptop, notepad and tape measure, planning a job

Since 1995

He charged for one hour.

Ray Holloway was nineteen the first time he crawled under a house in Ashby Creek. It was August. The crawlspace hit a hundred degrees, and the job was supposed to take an hour. It took six. He charged for one.

That customer still calls him. Thirty-one years later, Holloway runs four trucks, and Ray still answers the phone before seven.

How it works

Three steps. No surprises in the third one.

Nobody likes opening an invoice and finding a stranger’s number on it. So here’s exactly what happens after you reach out, start to finish.

01

Text us a photo

Snap the problem from where you’re standing and text it to (555) 014-2290. Add a sentence if you want. By 9 the next morning, someone who has fixed it before will call you back.

02

Get it in writing

You see the price on paper before anyone touches a tool. If we open the wall and find something worse, we stop and ask. The number never grows on its own.

03

We fix it and clean up

Boots off at the door. Drop cloths down. When we leave, the only sign we were there is the problem that’s gone.

A rebuilt backyard deck with new railings, finished in the afternoon light

Recent work · Larkin Hill

The deck nobody wanted to stand on.

It sagged in the middle and bounced at the stairs. The owners had stopped letting the grandkids out there. We pulled every board, sistered the joists, set new footings below the frost line and rebuilt the rail to code.

Four days. The kids next door found the new steps before the stain was dry.

In their words

What the neighbors say.

We don’t write these. The people we work for do, usually a week later, once they’ve stopped checking the ceiling.

“He showed up when he said he would, which I’d honestly stopped expecting. The price on the paper was the price on the bill.”

“Our breaker tripped every night at dinner. Ray found a scorched wire nobody else went looking for. Dinner is boring again. We love it.”

“They put down drop cloths to fix a doorknob. A doorknob. We’ve called them four times since.”
